Stephen D. Geibel

Stephen D. Geibel, 68, of Espyville, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at home.

Stephen was born in Bradford, on August 15, 1952, a son of the late John and Bev Geibel.

Following his graduation from Bradford High School, Stephen attended Penn State Behrend in Erie, before graduating from Penn State, main campus, with a degree in Law Enforcement and Corrections. Over the years he was employed as a mixologist at various local establishments. He enjoyed exercising and collecting all types of guns but his lifelong passion was the study of martial arts. In the process he acquired many broken bones and mastered many styles, most recently Judo. He became a great friend of Cootie Harris while studying tai chi. Stephen will be most remembered for his spirit of great kindness and generosity. He dedicated most of his life taking care of others physically as well as financially. He was a good friend to many and will be sadly missed.

Stephen is survived by a sister Gretchen and her daughter; his companion Rosane Garaczek, his lifelong friend Bill Starn and his wife Stella of Meadville; and their children Stephanie (who was his namesake), Susanne and Will.

Services are private.
