Steven James Villani

Steven James Villani, 71, of Meadville, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Marquette Hospice House.

Steven was born in Newark, NJ on September 20, 1948, a son of the late Domnick and Isabelle (Guarino) Villani.

Steven had been married to Judith Hendrickson.

Most of his life Steven lived in New Jersey. Over the years he was employed as a Manager, Service Representative, and Repairman at major electronics and technology companies along with other industries. His ability to take apart and reassemble, just about anything, was second to none. Working with his hands was effortless and he enjoyed building all types of models. A US veteran, Steven served his country honorably as a member of the Air Force. He enjoyed reading about, studying and discussing astronomy, physics, and the weather. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Jets. His favorite hobby was fishing and he loved the peace, quiet, and beauty of nature. Steven spent his childhood on the Jersey Shore, out on the water with his brother from sunrise to sunset, fishing, crabbing, site seeing, and swimming off the boat. He continued to share his love of the outdoors with his children and grandchildren, teaching them to fish, play softball, camp, and build fires, and creating beloved memories of time spent at beaches, riverfronts, parks, lakes, and streams. Steven was loved dearly by his family and will be missed.

Steven is survived by three children Chris James Villani (Sara) of Meadville, Lisa Hawkins (Dustin) of Manassas, VA, Justin Villani (Leslie) of Sonora, CA, seven grandchildren Chris Villani, Ayda Villani, Aydan Hawkins, Reilly Hawkins, Alex Hawkins, Rocco Villani, Dominic Villani, and a brother Robert Villani (Nancy) of Nutley, NJ.

Private services will be held by the family.
