Susan L. Daloise

Susan L. Daloise, 83, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Sugar Creek Care Center, Franklin, after a long, hard-fought battle with dementia.

Susan was born in Albion, on March 9, 1941, a daughter of the late Burton and Marian (Porter) Leopold.

In 1965 Susan married Leonard Daloise; he survives. 

She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, Meadville.

Susan retired from Conneaut School District after 37 1/2 years of service. She was an elementary school teacher with most of her career spent at Linesville Elementary School teaching Kindergarten. Susan loved each and every one of her students and kept up with them throughout the years by reading the newspaper daily. She was a proud recipient of the JET TV Golden Apple Award. A graduate of Northwestern High School, Susan was also a 1963 graduate of Slippery Rock College where she earned her BS in Elementary Education and went on to earn her Master's Degree from Edinboro College. Susan loved watching the sunsets at the family cottage at Lake Erie and traveling with her family and sisters.

In addition to her husband, Leonard, of 59 years, Susan is survived by her son Curt Daloise (companion Jamie Mills) of Utica; grandchildren Henry Daloise and Brady Kozlowski; siblings Kathy Locke of Girard, Marlene (Marnie) Leopold of FL, Howard Leopold of AL; nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents Susan was preceded in death by a baby granddaughter Infant Olive Susan Daloise.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
