Susan Elizabeth Popeney

Susan Elizabeth Popeney, 58, of Meadville, passed away Monday, December 12th, 2011 at home, after an extended illness.
Susan was born in Florida on June 9, 1953, a daughter of Loretta A. (George) Beals and the late Richard W. Beals.
While living in Meadville, Susan had been employed at the Dept. of Public Assistance Office. While living in Colorado, she had worked for the school district. She was a 1971 graduate of Tennent High School, Warminster. Susan was an animal lover who especially loved her cats.
Susan is survived by two children Richard 'Ricky' Beals of California, Vaughn Popeney of Pennsylvania, her mother Loretta A. Beals of Meadville, two sisters Patricia Scripture of Pennsburg, Kathryn VanDerslice of Virginia Beach, VA, two brothers James Beals of Titusville, George Beals of Coopersburg, several nieces and nephews.
Susan was preceded in death by her father, Richard W. Beals.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
