Theodore 'Ted' J. Hodges, Jr.

Theodore 'Ted' J. Hodges, Jr., 77, of 747 Locust Lane, Meadville, passed away Tuesday, December 18th, 2012 at home.
Ted was born in Buffalo, NY on February 1, 1935, a son of Theodore J. Hodges, Sr. and the late Jean (Cunningham) Hodges.
On March 28, 1979, Ted married Cheryll A. Walter; she survives.
Following his graduation from Lockport High School in Lockport, NY, Ted attended Edinboro College on a basketball scholarship. Over the years Ted owned and operated a couple of restaurants in Lockport, NY, worked as a sales representative for a large trucking Company in California and was a bartender in Las Vegas, NV. He had a strong passion for playing golf.
In addition to his wife Cheryll of 33 years, Ted is survived by a daughter Susan Johnson and her husband Jeff of South Dennis, Massachusetts, five grandchildren Jack Johnson, Samantha Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Katie Brown and Alex Bernard, his father Theodore J. Hodges, Sr. of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, two brothers Richard (Dick) Hodges of St. Petersburg, FL, Jimmy Mazzo and his wife Angela of Largo, FL.
In addition to his mother, Ted was preceded in death by a daughter Holly Smolinski.
At the familys request there will be no visitation.
A Memorial Service will be held in the spring of 2013 in Lockport, NY.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA.
