Thomas John Bach

Thomas John Bach, 85, of Meadville, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022, at UPMC-Hamot, Erie.

Thomas was born in Meadville, on December 8, 1936, a son of the late John W. and Helen Mary (Schwab) Bach.

On December 10, 1976 Thomas married Connie E. Burton; she predeceased him in 2015. He had previously been married to Valerie Seaman; she survives.

He was a member of St. Agatha Church, and attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Parish in Avon Park.

Thomas retired in 2003 from Channellock, Inc. where he had been employed in Production, Shipping and Receiving. He had previously been employed by the former Conrail Railroad. A 1956 graduate of Meadville High School, Thomas was active in the US Army Reserves. A member of Vernon Central Volunteer Fire Dept., he was also a member of Vernon Township Volunteer Fire Dept. Thomas was a strong supporter of recycling. His hobbies included tinkering with old cars, old tractors and was proud of his two 1957 Chevy convertibles.

Thomas is survived by two children Beverly Latta (Greg) of Meadville, John Bach of Crossingville; three step children Charles Faloney (Michelle) of Hermitage, Sandra Minshull of Greenville, William Scott Mowery of Jamestown; grandchildren; great grandchildren; three sisters Ruth Ann Bach, Carol Smith (Donald), Rita Briggs all of Meadville; a brother Daniel Bach of Avon Park, FL; a step son in law Eric Miller; numerous nieces and nephews.

Thomas was preceded in death by a step daughter Linda Miller; and a son in law Fred Minshull.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 15, 2022, from 1-3 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Funeral Service will follow at 3 PM, with Fr. Jeff Lucas.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
