Thomas "TJ" Jannot, 74, of 423 1/2 Orchard Place Meadville, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Park Avenue Rehab. & Nursing Center, Meadville.
He was born in Meadville, on May 12, 1941, a son of the late Merle and Pauline (Ladner) Jannot.
He graduated from the former St. Agatha High School in 1959 and from DeVry Tech in Chicago, IL, in 1960. He served a four year apprenticeship with IBEW and served six years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a construction electrician for 20 years with L. U. 504 of Meadville and 20 years with L. U. 712 of Beaver.
He was married for 21 years to Mary E. Galle, had three daughters Elena, Laura and Diana. From 1977 to 1980 he owned and operated the former Lite House Disco.
He attended St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church and was a member of Taylor Hose, the V.F.W. Post #2006 and was a life member of the Meadville Elks B.P.O.E. #219. He enjoyed wintering in Florida and driving his red Caddy convertible.
TJ is survived by three daughters Elena Ferraro of Conneaut Lake and her daughter Elyse, Laura Geisler and her husband Don of Hudson, OH and their children Donny, Alex and Sabrina, Diana Welch and her fiance Jay Bischak of Upper St. Clair and her children Gracie and Lily, a brother Ken Jannot of Birmingham, AL, a sister Sheryl Justin and her husband Martin of Meadville.
In addition to his parents, TJ was preceded in death by a sister in law, Maureen Jannot.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 6-9 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with Fr. Johnathan Schmolt, Pastor of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006 will follow.
TJ will be laid to rest in St. Agatha Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Park Avenue Rehab & Nursing Center, Divita Dialysis, Hospice of Crawford County as well as Dr. Randy Zelen for the wonderful care they provided TJ.
