Thomas William Basham

Thomas William Basham, 55, of Asbury Manor W., Lot 30, Meadville, passed away Monday, July 15th, 2013 at Meadville Medical Center.

Thomas was born in Meadville, on August 20, 1957, a son of Ardythe (Harris) Basham and the late Thomas Basham.

He was a member of St. John Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church, Meadville.

Over the years Thomas had been employed as a general laborer, as a carpenter and as an union asphalt laborer. He had also worked for the Unity Center. An avid basketball fan, he was also a die hard Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Thomas enjoyed listening to music, camping, cooking, swimming and he loved dogs. He will be remembered as loving life, enjoying it to the fullest and being a friend to everyone.

Thomas leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Ardythe, his sister Michell, his girlfriend Linda Faye Harris and her son Montell, all of Meadville, his daughter Robin Chapman of Chicago, his nephew Matthew, his great niece Adrian, both of Pittsburgh, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas, paternal and maternal grandparents, his brother Anthony and his brother John just 13 days ago.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday July 20, 2013 from 1-2 at St. John Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church, 792 N. Main St., Meadville, where a Homecoming Service will take place at 2 PM with Bishop Stanley Smith, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will take place in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
