Todd Joseph Kidd

Todd Joseph Kidd, 59, of Linesville, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at home with his family by his side.

Todd was born in Columbus Grove, OH, on June 25, 1965, a son of Glen W. and Mary Kidd.

On October 26, 2019, Todd married Annette M. Ferraino Egan; she survives. 

He was a member of St. Philip's Catholic Church in Linesville and was previously a member of St. Mary of Grace while living in Meadville. 

Todd was a 1983 graduate of Meadville High School where he played football and basketball. Immediately following graduation, he began an apprenticeship at Leech Industries and attending night school at the Vo-Tech, becoming a journeyman. He continued his employment with Leech Industries, where he completed 39 years of service. An active member of the community, Todd served on the board of directors of St. James Haven and was a member of the Meadville Elks BPO #129. He was a big supporter of Meadville sports where over the years he coached football, ran the clock for girl's high school basketball and boy's high school football and was also a member of the chain crew. He was a time keeper for Meadville High School Track as well as Allegheny College Track. Todd loved all things golf; he played in leagues at Oakland and Mt. Hope; if he wasn't on the green playing, he loved following it. A sports enthusiast, he also enjoyed following Ohio State Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. Todd will be remembered as a generous and kind man. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife Annette, Todd is survived by his son Josh J. Kidd (Maggie) of Erie; his step children Trenae Webster (Steffan) of Salisbury, MD, Peter J. Egan of Poland, OH; a step granddaughter Hazel James Webster; his father Glen W. Kidd (Susan) of Meadville; his mother Mary Shilling of Crossville, TN; sisters Karen Todak (Ken) of Parma, ID, Sarah Beach (Ty) of CA; a step-brother Curtis Williams of Nashville, TN; two nieces Jen and Laura.

He was preceded in death by siblings Ellen Kidd, Jeffrey Kidd and his stepfather Richard Shilling.

Family and friends are invited to call from 3-7 PM on Friday, September 13, 2024 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be held at 6:45. 

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at St. Philip Catholic Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville, with Fr. Chris Hamlett, Pastor, officiating.
