Toni Ann Pierce

Toni Ann Pierce, 66, of Meadville, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, at home surrounded by her family, following a courageous 19 month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Toni was born in New Castle, on November 24, 1957, a daughter of the late Frances (Toscano) Galbreath and Nelson Fox.

On February 10, 1979, Toni married David R. Pierce.

A graduate of Mohawk High School, Toni was also a 1978 graduate of Jameson School of Nursing. She began her 41 year nursing career in 1978 at the former Spencer Hospital and retired as a Nursing Supervisor in 2019 from Meadville Medical Center. Additionally, along with her husband, David, Toni owned and operated West Brookdale Mobile Home Park, I-Deal Home Sales, and Pierce Transport. She enjoyed wintering in Davenport, FL, as well as camping with her grandchildren. Whether working or playing, Toni was strong willed, determined, hard working and dedicated to everything she was doing. She will be most remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and especially grandmother. Nothing made her more proud or fulfilled than her five grandchildren. Toni will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband, David, of 44 years, Toni is survived by two children Matthew David Pierce (Gabrielle) of Meadville, Melissa Roberts (Dave) of Amity; five grandchildren Landon and Camden Pierce, Chelsea, Emily, and David Roberts; and brother Harold Galbreath (Deneen) of New Galilee.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, with a small service to follow at 7 PM with Fr. Jeff Lucas officiating.

Toni asked a special thanks be given to Dr. Andra Fee, Dr. Jason Brown, and nurse Jolene Halsaver for the wonderful care they provided.
