V. Gail Trace

Mrs. V. Gail Trace, 87, of Meadville, formerly of Saegertown, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, at Meadville Medical Center.

Gail was born in Wayne Twp., on April 24, 1934, the daughter of the late George and Mary (Phillips) Miller.

She married Kenneth E. Trace on Feb. 28, 1953, he preceded her in death on September 16, 1991.

For many years Gail was self-employed, providing cleaning services to area families. She was a graduate of Cochranton High School, class of 1951. An active member of Pleasantview Alliance Church, she served as a Sunday School Teacher and as a deaconess. She was a member of Woodcock Ladies and enjoyed collecting Bearington and Boyds Teddy Bears.

Gail is survived by three sons, Albert Trace (Bobbette) of NV, David Trace (Kathie) of IL, Donald Trace (Brenda) of UT; three grandsons Eric Trace (Ann), Todd Trace (Corinne), Dyllin Moulton; a granddaughter Jennifer Saye (T.J.); six great grandchildren Madison Trace, Logan Trace, Michael Trace, MacKenzie Trace, Sophia Saye, and Corbin Taylor; a sister Kay Derrough of Omaha, NE; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kenneth; five sisters Virginia, Genevieve, Mary, Edith, Evelyn; two half-brothers Floyd and Eager.

Family and friends are invited to call from 2-5 on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 10:30 AM at Pleasantview Alliance Church, 16233 Highway 86, Saegertown, with Rev. Russell Huizing and Rev. Mike McAdams officiating.

Gail will be laid to rest in Saegertown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gail's memory to Pleasantview Alliance Church, 16233 Hwy. 86, Saegertown, PA 16433.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the ICU staff of Meadville Medical Center for the loving, compassionate and professional care they provided during Gail's final days.
