Vera Joan Abbott

Vera Joan Abbott, 81, of 20380 Grange Center Road, Saegertown, passed away Friday, August 10th, 2012 at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.
Vera was born in Hayfield Twp., on January 9, 1931, a daughter of the late E. Guy and Bertha (Frontz) Mosier.
On July 28, 1990 Vera married Lester E. Abbott, he survives. She had previously married James Weikal on November 17, 1948. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1988.
She was a member of Saegertown Community Church and loved attending services.
After 20 years of service, Vera retired in 1993 from the housekeeping department of the Crawford County Care Center. She was a 1948 graduate of Saegertown High School and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, working outside and she loved caring for her cats.
In addition to her husband Lester, Vera is survived by two sons Wayne Weikal and his wife Vickie of Cochranton, Ronald Weikal and his wife Linda of Venango, one stepson Ronald Abbott and his wife Kathy, one stepdaughter Judy Loper both of Saegertown, four grandchildren Steve, James, Justin, Danielle, four step-grandchildren, Ronald Abbott, Jennifer Rough, Lisa Heim, Matt Loper, two great grandchildren Mackenzie Weikal, Blane Weikal, five step-great grandchildren Kyle Rough, Rina Rough, Isaac Heim, twins Weiss and Wyatt Heim, a sister Nola Gosnell of Sharon, a nephew Barry Gosnell, as well as several other nephews and nieces.She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, James Weikal.
Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown where Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August, 14, 2012 with Rev. Richard Haemer, Pastor of Saegertown Community Church, officiating.
Interment will take place in Venango Cemetery, Venango.
