Virginia 'Ginger' A. Lord Vanriper Sutter

Virginia 'Ginger' A. Lord VanRiper Sutter, 77, of 17184 Mercer Road, Townville, passed away Monday, July 16th, at home.
Ginger was born in Meadville on December 13, 1934, a daughter of the late Charles Parker and Audrey (Hoy) Lord.
Following her graduation from the former St. Agatha High School, Ginger became employed by the former Talon, Inc. of Meadville until 1956. She then became employed by the Crawford County ASCS Office until 1968. On April 4, 1953, at Christ Episcopal Church Ginger married Dale Van Riper. On June 29, 1968 she married John R. Sutter and together they spent many happy years working on their dairy farm near Lincolnville. They attended Lincolnville Baptist Church. After retiring, they moved to Union City where Ginger worked in the office at Union City Senior Center from 1992-1998. The tender, loving closeness of taking care of each other ended when John died on June 1, 2009.
In addition to her parents and her husband, John, Ginger was preceded in death by a son Michael Dale Van Riper who was born on December 1, 1954 and passed away on December 10, 1978. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her step father.
Ginger is survived by a brother Richard T. Lord of Meadville, a niece Kevin Ann Smith and her husband John, their sons Adam Smith and his fianc Katie of Pittsburgh, Joseph Smith and his wife Carley of El Paso, TX, two nephews Ken Lord and his wife Valerie and their sons Joshua Lord and Benjamin Lord of Meadville, Tom Lord and his wife Phyllis and their son Parker of Meadville, a sister-in-law Ellen Young and her husband Marsh and their sons Richard and Alan of Union City, great nieces and nephews Matthew Fera and his wife Lindsey, Lucas Fera, Laura Fera, Raymond Fera III, cousins Nancy Sheatz and her husband Gerald of Carlton, Dan Henninger of Meadville, Dave Henninger, Gary Henninger both of California, Bob Henninger of Arizona, dear friends Warren and Marie Walborn, Ray and Violet Fera, Dalton and Ruth Bond.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 10:30 AM on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville with Rev. Rob Willert, Pastor of Union City Presbyterian Church, officiating
