Virginia "Ginny" R. Leonhart

Virginia "Ginny" R. Leonhart, 96, of Saegertown, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at home surrounded by her family.

Ginny was born on July 26, 1925, a daughter of the late Stanley and Edna (Terrill) Farnham.

On May 22, 1943 she married Walter "Wally" T. Leonhart; he preceded her in death on November 10, 2021.

She was an active member of Saegertown United Methodist Church.

A 1942 graduate of Albion High School, Ginny worked at Keystone Ordnance Works during World War II. Once her children were born she enjoyed being a full time homemaker and later became employed by Saegertown Components after her children started school. Along with her husband, she bought into the Spudnut Shop donut franchise and enjoyed owning The Spudnut Shoppe on North Street for many years. Her faith and her family were the most important things in her life.

Virginia is survived by two children Nevin B. Leonhart (Marie), Rebecca R. Trobee both of Meadville; two grandchildren Melissa Leonhart of Meadville, Regina Keppel (Earl) of Union City; a great grandson Garrett; a brother in law Richard Crane of Meadville; two nephews Chris and Roger Collum.

In addition to her parents and her husband Wally of 78 years, Ginny was preceded in death by a grandson Nevin B. Leonhart II; and a son in law Bill Trobee; and a sister Betty Collum.

Family and friends are invited to call from 11 AM-1 PM on Monday, March 14, 2022, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., Saegertown, where Funeral Services will follow at 1 PM with Pastor Jeff Little of Saegertown United Methodist Church officiating.

Virginia will be laid to rest next to her husband, Walter, in Saegertown Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of Interim Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
