Wanda M. Cierakowski

Wanda M. Cierakowski, 98, of 429 Poplar St., Meadville, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 22, 2015, at 9:32 AM at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

Wanda was born in Minneapolis, MN on December 3, 1916, a daughter of the late Walter and Caroline (Stumford) Przondak.

Wanda married Jessie J. Cierakowski; he preceded her in death on May 15, 1992.

She was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

In her earlier years, Wanda was employed by the former Westinghouse. She loved being a homemaker and raising her family. She enjoyed her dogs, crocheting and playing her accordion. The most important thing in her life was her family. She was a wonderful mother to two daughters, a special grandmother to seven and a dear great grandmother to seven. Wanda will be missed by her family and the friends who cared so much about her.

She leaves behind her daughters Helen (Ronald) Basco of Madison, OH, Carolyn Kebert of Raleigh, NC, grandchildren Brian Thomas (Jennifer) of Concord, OH, Sean Thomas of Bangkok, Thailand, Mark Thomas of Mentor, OH, Kelly Smith of Meadville, Leslie Kebert Hemrich of Greensboro, NC, Laura Kebert Cushman of Charlotte, NC, Jennifer Kebert of Raleigh, NC, great grandchildren Lucas, Natalie, Lauren, Annie, Sara, Alyssa, Nickolas, a sister Jenny Styborski of Cambridge Springs, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Jesse, Wanda was preceded in death by a brother.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of family.

Wanda will be laid to rest next to her husband, Jesse, in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
