William A. Gingerich

William A. Gingerich

William A. Gingerich, 63, of 25705 E. Oil Creek Rd., Guys Mills, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, March 3, 2015, following a five year battle with cancer. He passed away at home surrounded by his loving family.

William was born in Middlefield, OH on September 6, 1951, a son of the late Andrew A. and Anna (Schrock) Gingerich.

He was a member of the Guys Mills Old Order Amish Church.

On October 17, 1978, William married Kathlyn Maria Miller; she survives.

William worked as a self employed mason for 40 years. Most recently he was employed by Bylers Superior Windows. He enjoyed reading, singing and time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Kathlyn, of 36 years, William is survived by eight children Laura Yoder and her husband Joseph, Ada Mae Byler and her husband Lester, Benjamin Gingerich and his wife Rose Marie, Jonathon Gingerich and his wife Lavina all of Guys Mills, Samuel Gingerich and his wife Karen Kay of Irvington, KY, Mark Alan Gingerich, Andrew Gingerich and Lukas Ray Gingerich all of Guys Mills, 16 grandchildren, three sisters Laura Miller and her husband Dan of Meadville, Emma Miller, Martha Hostetler and her husband Eli both of Middlefield, OH, three brothers Lester Gingerich and his wife Sarah of Munfordville, KY, Crist Gingerich and his wife Fannie of Meadville and Joe Gingerich and his wife Linda of Cochranton, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by a son Joseph Gingerich, a grandson Benjamin, three brothers Monroe Gingerich, Andy Gingerich, Chester Gingerich, and a sister Ella Yoder.

Family and friends are welcome to call both Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 at 25593 E. Oil Creek Rd., Guys Mills, where Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, March 6, 2015, with Bishop Joe Mullet officiating.

William will be laid to rest in Frenchtown Amish Cemetery, Frenchtown.
