William Billy Thompson

William "Billy" Thompson, 64, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Embassy of Park Ave.

Billy was born in Meadville, on March 5, 1956, a son of Blanche (Taggert) and the late Luther A. Thompson.

He was a member of Bethel AM & E Church.

Billy attended Meadville High School and over the years had been employed by the former Sunbeam, Erie Wildlife Refuge, Meadville Malleable and Theodore's Restaurant.

Billy is survived by his mother Blanche Thompson, son A. J. Tait; a granddaughter; sisters Riley Thompson, Garnetta King, Alyce Thompson, Tarenza Thompson; brothers Clarence Thompson, Bennie Thompson; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a brother Russell Tynes.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, from 12-1 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Going Home Service will follow at 1 PM with Pastor Floyd McClure, officiating. CDC guidelines will be followed.

Billy will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery.
