William E. Hall

William E. Hall, 71, of 15368 Hall Road Meadville, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011.
William was born in Vernon Twp. on October 24, 1939, a son of the late Theodore E. and Geraldine G. (Boyle) Hall.
William had been employed by Meadville Wal-Mart following his retirement from Meadville Medical Center Mental Health Unit. He had previously been employed as the Activity Director for the former Mead Nursing Home. While living in New York state, he was employed by Gowanda State Hospital and had taught English. A graduate of Saegertown High School, William went on to further his education by graduating from Edinboro College with a BS Degree in Education. He was a member of the Mensa Society. William had varied interests including genealogy, horticulture, history, reading and researching any topic in which he was not knowledgeable. He enjoyed following the Buffalo Sabres Hockey Team and playing Trivial Pursuit.
William is survived by a sister Nancy Mumford and her husband Victor of Meadville, nieces and nephews Vickie Mumford, Edward Mumford and his wife Kelly, Karen Mumford, Joy Mumford, Kevin Mumford and his wife Cheryl, five great nieces, one great step nephew, 4 great great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 1:30-3:30 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., where a Memorial Service will be held at 3:30, with Pastor Joseph Pjecha of Pleasantview Alliance Church officiating.
Interment will take place in Greendale Cemetery.
