Wilma Curry Byham

Mrs. Wilma Roueche Curry Byham, 102, of 2041 Hubbard Rd. Madison, OH, formerly of Meadville, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at The Lantern of Madison in Ohio.

She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, October 12, 1912, a daughter of the late Samuel and Rhea Perrey Roueche.

She married Thomas D. Curry on June 4, 1938. He was killed in the service in Germany in World War II, on December 10, 1944. She subsequently married Theodore G. Byham March 28, 1964. He died February 17, 1974.

Mrs. Byham was a member of Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

She was employed as an Executive Secretary and Legal Secretary for twenty years at the former Talon, Inc. of Meadville. She also had been employed as a secretary for the Crawford County School Office, and the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Meadville.

Survivors include a son, David T. Curry and his wife Virginia of Eastlake, Ohio, a brother, Leon E. Roueche of Wilmington, MA, four grandsons Thomas Curry, Michael Curry and his wife Tracy, Patrick Curry, Matthew Curry and his wife Kristin, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brothers James Kenneth Roueche and Mark S. Roueche, and a sister, Mrs. Marie Doyle.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January, 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with Fr. Johnathan Schmolt, Pastor of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, officiating.

Mrs. Byham will be laid to rest in St. Agatha Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
